THE PRINCE’S NEW JOB

In a land called, IT-COULD-NEVER-BE,
A prince once lived in an old oak tree.
The prince was never known to laugh;
He had a wife, a son, and a daughter and a half.

Now the job of the prince was complex and hard;
He polished the blades of grass in each yard.
His wife stayed busy cleaning their home,
While his father, the king, just sat on the throne.

The prince stayed tired and had pains in his back,
So one day he said, “I’m quitting this job, by heck.
It’s no job for a prince and I’m not going to do it.
He made a solemn vow, and then stuck to it.

One day while taking his kids out for a walk,
His little half daughter began to squawk.
She wanted to ride on the fish in the brook;
The prince leaned over the edge to take a look.

A big purple fish, with little silver eyes
Gave the prince a wink when he heard her cries.
“OK”, said papa prince, “Come sit upon the fish.
You know I must grant you your every wish”.

The half-a-girl riding in the sparkling brook
Made the neighbors come to get a good look.
All the kids wanted to ride the fish with silver eyes,
And the prince had to let them to hush their cries.

Now the prince was happy, doing what he liked to do
Helping the kids ride the big fish after school.

HAHA!
This might not be what you're talking about, but it's pretty cool!
