I would like to acquire the red oak (green) and slowly peck away at cutting the joints as free time will allow. I heard that red oak is "different" and does not need to sit for the typical 6 weeks before any cutting. Is this true? I could cut immediately? If so, should I cut 1 tiber (all joints) at a time? Or better to cut only "mating" joints, or only the tenons, or only mortises? Do not want to cause a shrinkage mismatch here. Looking for some guidance. Thanx.
