Over here in Vermont, our own Division of Historic Preservation started a barn census program last fall to find out what we have and what shape it's in. Anyone can volunteer for the project. It's a great way to make contact with the owners of barns in your neighborhood, survey and educate at the same time. You can also pass out a business card or two..
