Update: I have recovered from a health problem, and I'm now looking for help from 1 or 2 experienced Timber Framers. Current project is completion of the 24' x 70' hay barn conversion. Most of the dirty work is done, have procured most of the timbers for locust sills and EWP queen post trusses. The most fun part has begun - joinery and rigging. 3 weeks of 40+ hrs TF work available now to complete this phase of the work.
Immediately following is Disassembly, R&R and move, and reassemble and raise a magnificent 28' x 36' 1836 3 bay, chestnut NY/NE barn. Planning is mostly completed, permits are being issued, stripping and salvage of roof and siding etc is almost complete. Crane operator is lined up. 6 - 8 weeks of 40+ hrs will be the job.
Both barns are local to me in South Salem NY 10590 - Westchester County. SE NYS, near Hudson Valley and CT. 1 hr N of NYC.
Fair Market pay according to your abilities, production, tools, insurance & attitude.
Camping, cabin, house share are options.
