Timber framer / custom woodworker looking for 2007 work.
My 2006 work included building a 16' x 26' post and beam carriage house in Vergennes, Vermont complete from milling the logs, cutting and erecting the frame, finishing off with site built wall panels, metal roof and custom double doors. I also built two custom kitchens this year. My 2005 work included cutting and erecting a 32' x 46' post and beam house frame. This house is in the process of becoming the first LEED certified residence in New Hampshire. As an artisan builder I craft to 19th century standards of workmanship. I like working with site milled native lumber, unique salvaged architectural materials, sharp chisels, natural oil based finishes and craftsman with active brains.
I'm looking for projects either to complete in my Ripton, Vermont workshop, your nearby shop or would consider short term relocation for the right project -- Especially if that project was in Hawaii or the Virgin Islands this winter.... I have all the usual tools you'd expect, plus a forklift, use of a 16' Woodmizer sawmill and a 3/4 ton pickup with a flatbed. I'm fully insured with glowing references available on request.
Lets talk about your job. Happy Holidays !
